Character animator with experience in a variety of mediums but focused
on 3D computer animation. I also have strong traditional skills in
storyboarding, layout, production design and character design.
Comfortable with Maya, Photoshop, After Effects, Painter, Final Cut
Pro, Premiere, Flipbook, Windows, OS X and Wacom tablets. Basic skills
in Mental Ray, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Flash, DVD Studio Pro.

EXPERIENCE

CG Animator Fisher-Price East Aurora, NY June 2006-present
Invited back to Fisher-Price upon graduation to work on an in-house
22-minute animated DVD project. Part of a small team of animators
responsible for modeling, concept art, storyboards, layout, character
animation and lighting.

Design Animation Specialist Fisher-Price East Aurora, NY Summer 2005
Gained production experience in all creative and technical aspects of
new product visualization. A typical project was a 30 second "trade
commercial" that can use 2D/3D animation, stop motion animation, blue
screen videography, photography and/or CG special effects. A mix of
ideation, storyboarding, animatics, modeling, lighting, animation,
sound editing and compositing. Worked closely with Mattel's marketing
division in California to produce animated titles and logos for their
"Shake 'N Go" and "Fusion Crew" television commercials. (Utilized
Maya, MentalRay, AfterEffects, Photoshop)

Staff Illustrator Reporter Magazine Rochester, NY 2004-2005
Created full color illustrations and multiple covers for RIT's
top-ranked college news magazine. Conducted portfolio reviews and
critiques as well as hiring of freelance illustrators.


CG Intern XVIVO, Inc. Rocky Hill, CT Summer 2004

Gained experience modeling, texturing, and lighting in Maya. Applied
research skills to model a detailed conceptual environment for an
upcoming computer game.

Animation Intern Veritech Corp. East Longmeadow, MA Summer 2003
Studied 3-D animation in Maya and matte painting in Photoshop. Gained
valuable experience in a production atmosphere.

Founder Puppet Play Hall Marionettes Wilbraham, MA 1996-2002
Handcrafted marionettes, along with theater, sets, and backdrops.
Adapted fairy tales for entertainment and educational purposes. Toured
elementary schools, libraries and fairs throughout western MA.
Puppet-building workshops and special performances were presented for
local Cub Scouts. Shows were consistently well received and featured
in television news segments and local papers multiple times.

closely with technical director who created elastic broken rigs,
allowing a hand-drawn feel to the 3D animation.
